Why do people go for Skoda Octavia than Chevrolet optra magnum...?
The Chevrolet optra magnum in cheaper, have higher mileage(14kmpl) and even 0-100kmph of optra is around 10 sec while for octavia, mileage (12kmpl), 0-100kmph (13.6 sec) which is much lower than optra....
Optra-on road around 11 lakhs
Octavia-on road around 13 lakhs...
What can cause a car to not start?
I have a '97 Chevrolet Cavalier. So I clocked out from work today, and happily made my way to my car. Wouldn't you know it, it wouldn't start. It wouldn't turn over or anything. Just dead silence. I got a friend to help me jump the battery, and was able to make it home. I got the battery about 2 years ago. I know they should last longer than 2 years. There was a tiny bit of corrosion around the posts, but I've seen cars with far worse corrosion than mine. Besides the battery, what else could cause a car to not start?

77 Chevrolet Big 10 or Camper Edition?
I have a 1977 Chevrolet Silverado that I am restoring and was wondering about the different packages they offered in that year. I was looking at the "Big 10" option and it showed that it had heavier duty suspension to get it just over 1/2 ton capabilities to bypass the emission tests. My truck is a camper edition and has the heavier duty suspension also but does not have the 4 in the 4th digit of the VIN number. Even though it's a camper edition and not a "Big 10", is it safe to call it that anyway since it has the same weight capabilities?

Chevrolet cavalier overheating?
Chevrolet cavalier 2002 is overheting. It first showed the sign for low coolant ( which is a squarish tank with waves-lines on top of the tank and an arrow is in the middle pointing down at the waves). i added some coolant and drove less than ten miles and still the car overheated and was low on coolant again. i managed to take the car home. After the car was sitting for a while i added some coolant and checked for any leakes and found none. i then started the car and let it run for a while with the AC off. the car started overheating at about 195degrees, and to my surprise the fan didnt start. The car has one fan and if i turn on the AC the fan works. (I should mention that the car overheats even when AC is on too) The fan fuse and relay is okay. OOHH before this problem started i noticed some thick jelly like stuff in the coolant. I use Dex Coolant. What am i missing. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.
Here is what is happening. The temperature is staying at 195degrees but I think this is a false reading because after driving for about 15 miles the low coolant sign will show on the dashboard and when I check the coolant reservoir it will be very low or empty and very hot. The temperature guage is within acceptable range despite the overheating and the only warning sign is the low coolant sign. As stated above the fan is not kicking in when the water starts to overheat. The fan relay and fuse looks okay. Thank in advance again
