Why did my goldfish die so suddenly?
We have kept goldfish almost constantly for at least 9 years. Recently, I bought three small common goldfish. Cute little fellas. That was Tuesday, and today, Thursday morning, I found all three of them floating on their sides. They were fine last night, and showed no prior signs of sickness.
Before these three, I had one regular old carnival goldfish. I didn't expect him to last long when I got him, but he lived almost three years. We fed him (and the new ones) once a day.
Our tank holds five gallons of water. It does include a filter. As of current, there are no decorations or anything inside the tank. Also, when I put in new water, I put in the little chlorine drops.
Why did these new fish die? I'm suspecting that there might have been too many for the amount of water in the tank. I was planning on getting one, but they were five for a dollar so.. you know. I'm thinking shock, too. I don't want this to happen again, obviously. Help me out?
By chlorine drops, I mean the drops you add to tap water to REMOVE chlorine. Sorry, I should have explained a bit more.
Should I hit back when someone hits me?
Today, when I was driving home from school, someone behind me was being obnoxious like tailgating and flashing beams, and because it was a straight road with no other lanes to pull over and let the car pass, I put my car on brake all the sudden so that fucker hopefully crashes me from behind (it was a 40 mph zone, and I was already going about 50mph), but unfortunately he did not but I am sure his car suffered some sort of damage in its break.
Then it came to a red light and this guy got out of his car and knocked on my window, I was gonna ignore him but he fucking opened my door and grabbed me and tried to pull me out.
If I was not in the public I would have beat the shit out of this fucker but I knew it is not a wise decision to use force whenever so I just shoved him to the ground and immediately drove off.
If I am in a similar situation when someone uses force to me (like punching) should I hit him back? Can I justify myself to the cop that it was a self defense?
HELP! Employee rights who should I call?
I am a waitress in NC. Things in my workplace seem to be less than legal and I need to know exactly who to turn to.
For one I have not received a paycheck since november of last year (I work for tips alone) My boss just doesn't give them to me. Even if they only amount to penny's after taxes I still have the right to receive a paycheck right?
She tries to charge me for things that are supposedly left off of tickets but she never shows me proof that I forgot to charge for them.
When asked to have how I am paying taxes explained to me she refuses
She tells people that I am on medication to make me "right in the head." Which is a lie but I don't know how she knows my medical information or why she's telling customers about it.
She doesn't allow me to clock in for certain things like training sessions.
And comes to me all the time saying I owe her money for taxes (out of pocket) but she never shows me my paychecks or my paperwork so I can check these claims.
this is just a small but of the illegal activities going on in my workplace. I need a way of reporting her anonymously. I want to leave my job badly but I don't want to go with out making things right and getting what Im owed. I am not the only one whom she has screwed over.
What Power does the Government have to Enforce Their Laws if the Majority of Americans Just Ignore These Laws?
Let's say the Government passed a law that said everyone must register with the government and pay a $20 fee and get a License to wash your car in your driveway. This is hypothetical. And if everyone ignored this regulation and most of the people washed their cars anyway.
How would the government enforce it?.....Don't we the People have the real power if we would just stand up to their nonsense?
