Okay so this all started when my mom started asking me what I want to do for my 16 birthday. I told her no big parties I just want to have dinner with her and my brother. She got really sad like she was dissapointed and insisted I should have a party like my best friend did. I said mom first of all I only have one really close friend, my immediate family is just you and my brother, my extended family lives far away, it would be stupid to have a party for 5 people. She says oh, well I can invite people from my work (she works at a dentist office and they are all really close). I said mom I dont know everyone at your work and some of the people bother me so much. My moms good friend Sheri has a 20 year old son and shes constantly trying to push him on me. I can tell he wants to be more than friends but I cant stand him. He is a only child and his mom spoils him so much. He drives one of those fancy race cars and gets what ever he wants all the time. I understand that he was raised differently but it really bothers me when people act so selfish. My dad was a ass my whole life and never held down a job then one day leaves for another women. Oh and hhe said he left because my mom was fat and he was not satisfied. Disgusting pig. Anyways back to the point, I did not even want to have this party so eventually my mom dropped it. I told her I dont need a party to be happy, but then a few weeks later I find out she is planning a suprise party for me. I confronted her and she says when you said no I thought maybe you did want one. I said no because I meant no. I have ocd and whenever something unsuspected happens that I have no control over I feel like im going to explode. Just the idea of this suprise party made me want to puke and cry and scream all at the same time. I also told her I know money is tight and its even hard to get bills paid, let alone some vain sweet 16 party. She says you only get one sweet 16 and money should not stop you from experiencing that. I could tell she really wanted to try to make me happy an make my day special so I broke down and agreed to have the party. Now I feel like im just doing it for her, like its not even my party. I thought that this would be the unselfish thing to do. Im really scared of becoming someone who only cares about themeselves because thats what my father did and I saw how much he hurt the people around him. So, my point is I did not even want this party in the first place, then I accepted to make my mom happy, and then yesterday my brother said something like "oh, Renae loves to ask for things and she gets what ever she wants." I got so mad over that and looked to my mom to defend me and she did nothing. I had noticed lately like when we went to buy the cake she was complaining about how much money this was costing her. It made me feel so bad. If anything I thought i was the opposite of selfish. I dont eat much and never ask for treats, unlike my fat brother who ask for ice cream every night (and yes he gets it without any complaint from my mom, and hes 19!) I have not bought close or gone to the mall or bought makeup in roughly a year, and I did not expect anything for my birthday! I mean my best friend got a brand new ford fusion for her sweet 16, did I ask for that no. They act like im the most selfish thing ever so I would appreciate opinions on the matter. Dont sugar coat it, am I being a selfish brat? Or are they wrong? I was up all last night crying because I just want to cancel the stupid party now but I cant because my mom cant get a refund on the cake or the room she rented out.
My car is making strange noise and leaking?
My car makes a strange loud grinding/crunching noise when i turn the steering wheel. It sounds worse when I'm in the car on my own
When someone sits in the passenger side it's not too mad. My driving seems fine, steering is not heavy or anything. I noticed today that after driving it around all morning, there seems to be a clear fluid dropping from under the bonet, on the wheelarch on front of my right tyre. Any ideas what this could be? It's a 2004 ford focus that has done around 70000 miles.
How can i check if my inner tie rod is bad?
i have a 2010 ford mustang v6. when i brake from 65+ down to about 40 my steering wheel shakes; and i lifted my car and the wheel is wobbly. my mechanic told me its both the inner and outer tie rods....but i dont trust him (or any mechanic)....i know my tie rod end is bad and my rotors....BUT how do i check if my inner tie rod is bad? and he wanted to charge me 450$ just to replace the tie rods is this a good price for both inner and outer? THANKS!!! i want to do it my self but i need to know if my inner tie rod is bad.....
How to get my 2011 Ford Focus to index my ipod on the Microsoft Sync?
I have plugged my ipod into the USB port on my focus and the Microsoft Sync says that the songs could not be indexed. What do I need to do to make Sync recognize the songs so that I can use the voice commands? I drive a stick and it's not safe to be playing around with my ipod.
