What is wrong with my car?
Okay, I drive a 1996 Subaru Legacy L sedan. When I drive, I hear a squeaking noise coming from the car. When I apply the brakes, even gently, the squeaking goes away, but as soon as I let go, the squeaking comes back. Also, when I turn the wheel to the left, the squeaking stops. However, turning the wheel to the right makes the squeaking noise even louder. Does anyone know what is wrong with my car and how much it will cost to repair?
STP Octane Booster For Long Trips ? Useful or Waste Of Money ?
Planning a trip from Vancouver to Kelowna, which is about 272 km. Wondering if I should use STP octane booster on my car. It's fairly brand new Subaru Impreza 2009 with about 19000 ODO.
Is it safe to use, cause since am running the engine for quite a while just using octane booster/cleaner would help clean and make the engine run smoother ?

Hello, I'm planning on buying a Subaru WRX STi in the near future. However, I have limited knowledge about cars and would like to know any basic information I should know about car parts. If i plan on purchasing mods for my STi, i'd like to know what they do and how they work, etc. Which are the most important parts to increase it's speed? And are there ways to improve its speed and power without increasing it's loudness? Apologies, i'm major new at this. Thank you!!

1999 Subaru Legacy Starter not working?
I bought a starter from local autoshop. It is manufactured by WorldWide (Remanufactured).
After approximately 90 days (around 8k, I drove the car alot for delivery), the starter suddenly had the grinding sound, it is like the gear won't engage to the engine or it rotated itself on something.
My friend told me use a socket to hit the backside of the starter, then it worked. I thought the starter won't give up that easily. The OE part by Denso had lasted probably 7-8 years (with around 120k on it). ??
Should I purchase a new one from Denso or keep using the remanufactured starter? It will be easy to replace it, but it took me 2 hours to take out the bolts....
Please let me any advises, should I replace it or get the new one because it is still under warranty?
