what amp to go with my subwoofer?
i got an MTX TT65 shallow 12" sub, and i dont know what amp to go with it. it runs at 4 ohm's and has an RMS or 400w and peak of 800w. i would like to get a kenwood amp but the only two i found that seem like they would be good with it are:
kac-8105 which is 300rms
kac-7205 which is 500rms
i was leaning towards the 7205, i figured that it wouldnt blow the sub unless i turned it waaayyyy up?
i also thought that underpowering it might not hurt especialy because i have a small truck(i still want it to pound though)
the sub will be going in my standard cab toyota pickup which has 2 4" kenwoods in the dash and a kenwood 4 way 6x9 in each door and a kenwood 352 deck.
i want to run 4 ohm impedance, the two amps i listed are with their 4 ohm output.
what im saying is; would 500 be too much? would 300 not be enough? or is there a better option?

Is it worth paying over $100+ car insurance?
I'm currently a college commuter and I drive a 1997 Toyota Corolla DX sedan with over 180k miles on it. My insurance company is GEICO and they put me on a 6 month payment plan where my premium is $839. Now the thing is that I pay about $140 a month for 6 months until that total is paid off, but is it worth paying $140 car insurance for a car that was manufactured in 1997 with over 180k miles and doesn't run or look to good at all.
Should i try to finance a preowned or used car? If so how should i do it? I know there are many options in paying for a new car, but I'm 19, in college, working at Walmart part-time, and own a online business.

car tyres & towing a boat?
Hello,
I drive a Toyota dual cab hilux ute & am about to purchase a boat. We will be using this car primarily for towing, launching & retrieving.
I currently have Bridgestone Light Truck Tyres on the back (205/170 R15C)
Can someone please tell me if these tyres are suitable for towing a boat that weighs just short of 1 Tonne?
I bit the bullet & went to Bridgestone.
It appears that the hilux must have a commercial light truck tyre which limits the choices. The bad thing with this is there is only limited tread profiles to choose from.
Speaking with the tyre dude, he said he can put them up from a 205 to a 215 & suggested if the ramp is at all slippery (retrieving on low tide), to let some air out of the tyres so they can get a better grip.
The power of the car isn't a problem, slipping on the ramp is.

alternator issue, Toyota camry?
Hello, Having issue's with a alternator in a toyota camry 1994 4cyl.
Battrey keep's going flat overnight, Battrey is new..
Got a multimeter and voltage on idle is 12.8v - 13.2v, & when i rev it it goes to 13.3 wich is very low and i would guess this is why battrey is not charging propley.
I have put new brushes in the alt but still the same!
I put a resistor in the alt s fuse holder just for a test then voltage's went up to 14.5v and sort of fluctuated between 14.6v - 14.4v while driving, went to 14.4v when i blasted the heater and put high beam headlights on.
This is really bugging me, I cant find the problem, This is the 2nd second hand alternator's now and still doing the same thing.
What can i do? Can i put a recomended ohm fuse in the alt signal slot to try and trick the alternator into charging a bit higher? What ohm resistor?
what else could i do? it seem's that no matter what alt is in there the battrey never get's charged as it should, battrey is new and is a maintenance free type.
